Eli Hiton will present a solo piano recital on Saturday, June 28th at 4:00 pm at Grace Church | Red Hill. He will perform an abridged version of the concert the following morning (June 29) at the regular 10:30 am service. The program was inspired by Rumi’s “The Guest House,” which recommends that the reader welcome all guests, joys and sorrows alike. The program, including works by Debussy and Schumann, as well as contemporary composers Anna Meredith and Tigran Hamasyan, gives the audience (and Eli) an opportunity to welcome a variety of visitors to their own guest house. Both the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning performances will be followed by an opportunity for discussion with Eli and fellow concertgoers to share what resonated, what didn’t work, or to air any other grievances. The performances will be free with an opportunity for donation to help support the piano rental. Hope to see you there!
