Ministry of Imagination

  • Monticello Trails 503 Thomas Jefferson Parkway Charlottesville, VA, 22902 United States (map)

On Wednesday, April 30th, 6:30 pm, join us for our annual contemplayful Beltane expedition to the beautiful Carter Overlook plaza, just off the Monticello Trail. Beltane takes place halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice and is, in the Celtic tradition, the beginning of summer.

We'll gather in the larger Monticello Trail parking lot off Rt 20, on Dairy Barn Rd at 6:30 pm. Carpooling is encouraged! We will start walking to the overlook at 6:35. If you arrive a little late, just set foot and catch up with us at the overlook. It's a 15-minute walk on an easy well-marked trail. We'll spend an hour singing, listening, and viewing the sunset from the overlook's stone plaza. There's seating along the low wall that partially encircles the overlook plaza. We'll head back to the parking area by 8:15 pm.
